In 2020 Curtis Creek Ranch has obtained 501c3 status. Although the 2020 events have slowed us down in our pursuits-we are still moving towards our target!
Understanding and respect for horses is essential for safety and progress.
Opening our ranch up to the public is a new venture for us.

When we step into the horse’s pasture or arena space, we enter into the ‘herd dynamic’, and the pasture becomes a place to cultivate: Relationship, Empowerment, Boundaries, and Intent. Horses naturally prey animals have an intrinsic built-in group dynamic complete with a specific pecking order. In order to survive all members of the herd have a role to play to ensure safety for all – a mindset of presence and constant awareness.

In the current dizzying and hurried world with devices that take up our time and our mental connectedness, we lose essential consciousness of who we are.

Trauma robs us of this too, can get stuck in our energy field (and we can be completely unaware of its impact on our lives, and those around us), it may present as substance abuse, and/or other detrimental behaviors, and we need to be intentional to get back to present.

Horses can very quickly assist us with acknowledging where we are in this process. Acknowledgement is the beginning; we become aware and now can consciously make informed decisions, and ‘get unstuck’ and move on to more productive and meaningful lives.
